computer chip power
Can anyone tell me a good reason, why not to put a chip on my truck other than the warranty issues. Does it really hurt the reliability if you drive like you have a brain most of the time. Has anyone out there put on 200,000 miles or so after installing a chip. Would you do it again. I put the banks six gun on my last truck with speed loader and exhaust. Ran awsome but it started taking s*#@ after about 70,000. I dont blame that on banks though because it was an 03 ford 6.0. enough said about that.
From your post I know your truck will be fine with a programmer or module installed. A lot depends on how you drive it. If you run it like you stole it, well parts will break down and break apart. If you get on it some but drive it normal most of the time it will be fine.
Actually most of our customers are just like you. They want to add some performance, but dont drive it like a Nascar race everyday all the time.
Bully Dog, Predator, TS Performance, Edge or van Aaken are some programmers or modules for you to consider.
