Commander Question
Does anyone else have a problem with the commanders lower button, I feel like I am going to crush the thing just to get it to work .
I am getting my xillerator standard replaced by quadzilla, now if the commander has a problem, I think I am going to throw a friggin fit.

Shoot Quad a PM or an email. Mine has the same problem (the top button is REAL hard to push). Apparently a bunch of "bad" boards got shipped with tinned buttons instead of gold and it can make the buttons hard to push. I just got an RMA and am sending mine back next week for a new one.
I have had a couple of guys that have had an issue with the buttons. The buttons are like a remote control and have a carbon resistor onthe bottom of them. Evidentally a couple of them seem to not be the correct resistance or something? Not sure what the deal is. We have sent them a couple of replacement buttons and all was well?
If you want we can send you buttons or we can do it. I guess it depends on if you want to mess with it or not?

On mine,it seemes as though the rubber is too long, thus making them bend over, rather than push in. Add movement from the mount into the equation, and its difficult to use. I havent even tried to use the buttons since I got it up and running. I'm definitley not going to attempt to use them while driving.

Quad, I emailed the fella that sent me a pm about a week and a half ago, and have not heard a word since then.
Also, the new box threw a code and is surging as well...
I am getting really discouraged. I am thinking I want to send all the products back to you and get a total refund if that is possible and go a different route.
I would like to deal with you directly from this point forward as it seems your guys seem to drop the ball.

I have the same button problem as far as the top and bottom button. Also, the screen will nearly black out if it sits in the sun too long, and it takes a while for the screen to clear up, any one else notice that?

The problem with the buttons is not actually the board. Somehow some of them got a film or residue on them when they were produced. I do not know what, why, or how? It may have got on them when they washed the boards? I just know that we now make sure and clean them before they go out and all is well.
Just so you know the buttons are not like a psuh button underneath a plastic piece. The buttons have a carbon pill on bottom of them and there is a pad that they touch to make contact. This film makes it tougher to get that contact.
We are happy to fix or replace them or you can clean them yourselves with a tissue and alcohol if you feel the need.
The screens are another thing. We are shipped the LCD's and they are an extended temperature display that will take pretty much any heat that you will ever encounter. Now 1 or 2 shipments ago we were shipped a number of them that are the standard temperature displays. There is no markings or anything on them that defines exactly what they are. If the black out then they are standard temp displays. At this point we have tested everything in stock and we have weeded them out and it is not an issue. There are some in the field and at distributors but, I think the number is small. We did not actually get that many and the worst case scenario is only about a weeks worth of them that might have went out. We will not likely know for a little longer.
All I can do for that right now is swap it out with the correct ones. If you have this issue just call tech support at 888-842-6572 and tell them your screen blacks out. They will fix it from there.

I am not sure who you talked to or what the issue is but, I will do my best to figure it out. Send me your name, number and any other info that will help me get you rolling. I am curious as to why you would have a surging issue or a code? Do you have a fuel pressure kit to see if fuel supply is an issue? What module do you have?
I also would like to know what code was set and if it affected the drivability.
If we sold it to you directly we will refund your money, however if it was through a vendor all we can do is have you return it to them and let them know we will refund their money. I am not sure of all of our vendors policies but, you need to get with whoever you paid and I will do whatever we need to do on our end to help you out.
Also a lot of people like email and pm's but, when that is not going well it is always good to get someone on the telephone. Anyone. We do not have an automated system for this reason. If you call our toll free number you will speak to a human being and one way or another you will get to talk to someone that can fix or help you with your problem. Email is convenient but, it is also not that reliable. With all of the spam filters and everything else out there it is hard to know what makes it to someone and what doesn't. Hopefully it is easy to get someone that can help you on the phone. If not get irritated with them until someone gets you. I promise you that if you make a half hearted effort someone with plenty of authority will help you out.
I like to do as much as possible but, I do travel some and I have an overflowing plate. If you haven't noticed I post a lot early in the mornings!
