P0628-yes the lift pump code.

I did a search...came up with people throwing this code with a FASS installed. Truck runs fine and strong....but i just happened to check it today since my DTT, FASS, Edge, and AFE installs and this is the code it gave me.

Is this code because of the missing relay with the FASS system?

would a fuel pressure gauge help monitor to see if the CP3 is really dying?

the code won't clear so i'm assuming it MUST be the missing relay for the FASS system.

 

I can't believe nobody else will answer. The code is normal as the relay is missing and the ECM is looking for voltage here. I don't think this will cause any adverse driving or power problems. If you want to eliminate the condition entirely, you caln plug the relay back into the original position and snip the black wire (ground) at the sending unit harness on the tank. The FASS instructions are not very well updated.

A fuel pressure gauge is always a good idea and a good diagnostic tool. Just more money.
