I keep getting these 2 codes:
299-low boost
602-checksum error

when I drive my truck around with these 2 codes, it has about 1/4 the power. I can put it to the floor, and it will maybe go 30 mph. I delete them with my Smarty, and everything is fine.

it comes on randomly, I dont know why

anyone have any ideas?

uninstall the smarty, drive it for awhile, if it doesnt do it with stock programming, something got corrupted with the program change that the smarty put it.

 

P0602 w/ Smarty is normal, take a look in the owners manual. I Don't know about P0299, sorry.

 

It has more to do with your big turbo than smarty.
I have had 299's several times and it only started after I started using big turbos.

 

I had the 0299 today for no reason. I has TST on 1 pulling out of Burger King and it happened. Any rime or reason for it?

 

Yep, I started getting the 299 code the minute I put the silver bullet on. But it only happens to me with the TST down low or the BDDL in a tow mode. I have never had it happen with the SCT or the Quad, I'm sure its a matter of time though.

I don't know about you guys, but 299 always sets when I am at little or no boost, like just leaving my neighborhood and truck is still cold.

Wish I knew the cure, it sure is annoying when it happens.

 

I think you have helped me here. My truck was relatively cold too. It was just over 140 on the temp gauge. Maybe it has something to do with that.
