cheapest way to make smoke

i am a newb to diesel, i have limited funds at the moment, but i want to make my truck smoke with my little budget. is there any way to get smoke without a powerchip or programmer??? if i do have to go the chip/programmer route, i was thinking of spending my budget on the quadzilla towing module, does that give me smoke in addition to the power?? or just power?? because power + smoke is awesome too, but i rather not spend that money right now.

p.s. i dont race but i do like to have fun with my truck

thanx from the newb

Finally for some advice that may help you---

Find yourself a used Ramifier or TS MP-8. They fuel agressively down low and create a lot of smoke if desired, but can easily be turned down.

They can be had for $100 if you find the right deal.

On edit:

I personally think smoke sucks. It just pisses people off. I am looking for clean horsepower like AKRAM has. I'm currently switching out my SPS66 for a SPS62 (smaller turbo) in order to reduce smoke while driving around town. Smoking people out can be fun, but here in CA you have to watch your back. Too many nutbags driving Priuses that want to report you.

I think smoke is awesome, however there is a time and place for it and the more people try to get their rigs to smoke the more heat diesels are going to take from the EPA and tighter restrictions that could be costly for all of us, so be smart about it. I have read on here that smokes = unburned fuel and at these prices I want all of it being used for power not smoke.

i believe Quad can make a module for you that would just smoke. Buy an XZT and send it to him and he can set it so that it will smoke...i think he said that before on this site. I have a friend wanting to do the same thing.

BE CAREFUL WITH SMOKE. I've had death threats twice now...well maybe not death but they didn't specify. One night me and 2 buddies were in my truck and i was showing them the different power settings and the difference between the settings....and apparently i smoked a jeep out with the top down and the guy cut me off in the parking lot at the grocery store out of no where.....he said he had followed me for a while. i can't repeat what he said, but honestly I wasn't scared at all with his threats but it was stupid for someone to get so worked up over it.

Yesterday some guy pulled up next to me when me and another member here were playing with mods and said if i threw exhaust on him again i wouldn't be able throw exhaust ever again...whatever that means. I just smile and say OK.

a girlfriend of mine was driving my truck one night and "wanted to go fast" so at a stoplight, she floored it on crazy larry. the car behind her followed her to a parking lot where i was waiting on my girl. The lady in the car asked me if my lower o-rings in the motor were going out. I laughed in her face and said no why? she said when the o-rings go out, that makes motors smoke bad. I told her it was a diesel and she didn't believe me. then she asked me if i would like it if someone threw smoke and on me....and ofcourse i love that stuff. She continued "well i come from Michigan and we have pollution laws." I said " i come from texas and we do too....but we drive big trucks." I smiled, and she told her husband to drive away. two words came to mind....but i have respect for the "northern" members here.

You are going to have the same amount of low boost smoke because the wheel on the exhaust side is the same size as a sps66 so spoolup is just as slow and less boost when it does come up. (thats the way I understand it anyway)

I know there will be some smoke, but the 66 lights at 12psi, the 62 is supposed to light at 4-5 psi. That's a big difference to me.
