CB Mounting Suggestions

I know this sounds dorky, but i want a cb radio in my truck, but the problem is finding a suitable location to mount it. I already have the radio and the antenna, i just need a place to mount it. If anyone has any pics of good mounting locations, i would appreciate seeing them. thanks

Not sure if you have the center console (I do) and I am looking for another solution aside from mounting a radio on the side of the console.

I am considering taking the faces off of the radios (CB and scanner), mounting just the faces (w/a frame surrounding) somewhere (?) with the guts of the radios mounted remotely.

i need to take pics, but i welded a little u shaped bracket up that the cb mounts in, then screwed that into the side of the center console. so..the radio is vertical, and kind of up against my leg. then, i took the idea someone on here had and used a mic clip attached to a cork in the upper 12V socket for my mic. i welded a fold down tab on my headache rack for my antenna (fold down for when i need more head room

I think my install may be a little easier than most now that I see what kind of CBs people are mounting. I have one of the Cobra CBs that has all of the controls on the microphone and just has a tiny receiver box that can be mounted stealthly. All I have to do is find a good aesthetic location for it.

I hate things mounted on the panel below the steering wheel. If you're above 6ft it might work. Below 6ft tall and your knees will have problems in an accident. Ever see them dummies flailing about in a crash test? Not sure which interior you have. Here's my 06' SLT.
