Cat question

i took mine off and be cause of new laws and inspections i have to put it back in. does the cat haver a flow direction can remeber and when i cut it off i cut it at the welds and i can remeber it was 2 years ago

doen't matter which direction with the stocker... it is a helluva restriction though!! if the inspection is just a visual you could gut it then weld it up?? if you are getting some sort of "smog" type analysis you may need the whole thing... good luck.

yeah i really dont know what they'll do sense it has the stack they might think about checking all of it. what a pain in my Edit now been stait through for 2 years and now am forced to put it back on. the other question i forgot to ad was can i put a 5" down pipe on because from doing all this over time and the factory crimping all there pipes with clamps i am going to prolly be better off starting at the turbo. will this effect performance or will i just have a little more turbo lag? will it be louder or quiter than the 4" with the cat? the other question is will the new down pipe have the same factory bends in it? the reason i ask is that with being the regular cab i need to kick the cat tords the front of the truck so i have enough room to put some flex pipe in. when i originaly had the cat with the stack i couldnt put enough flex pipe so the stack moved alot.
