Cat Or No Cat

I live in texas and i was wondering if it is really illegal to cut my cat out. If so what are the chances of getting caught and how big is the fine.

any mention of disabling federally mandated emmission equipment on this forum is prohibited, so you're talking about off road use only, right?

Don't think so guys. It IS illegal because it's federally mandated equipment, not state.
