Is anyone running the stock exhaust system minus the muffler but still have the cat? My dad has an 05 and would like to do something with his exhaust but because he has to keep his cat for emissions it seems pointless to buy an aftermarket exhaust. It seems to me like the only reason to buy an aftermarket system would be to get either stainless or aluminumized or just for the look other then the muffler. so i guess the question is if u want to upgrade the stock exhaust and don't care about looks the best thing to do is get a better muffler or remove muffler?

 

I bought the muffler eliminator from genos, I love it , not too loud but still sounds deep.

so does that mean no point on after market exh? to me it doesn't seem like it unless you want thier muffler and the pertyness of them

Check out the MBRP performance replacement muffler it's 409 stainless just like the stock Dodge system material, it bolts right on reusing the factory rubber mounts with factory welded hangers etc. Sounds great as well, check the site here there are a lot of members that have gotten it. How would that compare to the muffler elimination kit as far as sound goes?

 

Which sounds better? 4" exhaust with muffler and no cat, or 4" exhaust with no muffler and the cat??

 

i just did the muff delete from geno's and it was 76 shipped to the door. put it in and i love it. can't wait for the 4 in straight. oh, i have no cat on mine just the stock reonator.

Some folks say the muffler eliminator drones a lot others say it's OK. The MBRP will kill a lot of the drone if you have any to start with etc.
