If you are able to still get the 60psi then it might be a head gasket. Does it change at all from cold to warm? Take a flashlight and look to see if there is a coolant trail anywhere from under the head.

While your at it grab an oil sample and send it out for analysis. That will get rid of all the guessing going on.

Just found the problem!

The flappers broke off the wastegate... so it was open all the time, making it feel very slow while cuising and almost impossible to spool.
No idea why that would happen!

Thanks for the help everyone!

Are you still loosing coolant are was it just a purge issue from the dual pump install?

Get a good by-pass system like Opie's it will elimate the boiling of the coolant

Add some Redline Water Wetter, it noticeably helps. Some may say thats a bandaid fix but hey, wouldn't you spend 20 bucks on an additive first before $$$ on a bypass?

First I used a 2nd gen 24valve HG.
It didnt work quite right! motor got very hot, i think it got compression into the waterpassages! so i pulled the head again, and used a MLS (3rd gen Stock HG)

How did you get the o-ring to seal with the MLS gasket? The cylinder hole in the MLS gasket isn't round, that's my reason for asking. The o-ring would cut across the cylinder hole.

I know i was a bit concerned about that too. Since the 2nd gen gasket didnt work, i didnt feel like putting it together the same way again!

Im not sure if an oring did cut across a clinder hole. it looked like it would just sit on the very edge... some told me to use a MLS gasket, so ive been trying both. i still dont know why the 2nd gen gasket didnt work
