Can't figure out sound from Leveling Kit. Help

Hello guys. I had a Tuff Country Leveling kit installed and everything feels tight, Track bar, shocks.... And yes I had the new shocks put on with it. Now, everytime I hit a small crack in the road, or a bump or just anything, I hear a thud and it is driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! What is it? I can feel a slight thud in the floor board, but barly (barley) not the crop. Anyway, when I take the truck for a drive with the mechanic, they always say they can't hear it. Why don't they start wearing hearing protection. That bugs me when the mechanics can't hear the problem your having with your truck. LOL Please help guys. Any thoughs.

I have the same noises and my truck suspension is stock. I don't know what it is. My mechanic (no longer, mind you) said it was because it is a heavy duty truck.

The guys you installed the kit bent both sway bar links, but bushings are good. I doubt that it is from that. It sounds like a shock bottoming out, but I know its not.

are you sure the shocks are tight?

same thing happened with a friends '07 6.7 dually after a leveling kit install. you gotta get a wrench on the shaft and a wrench on the nut and tighten....took us forever, but we finally found it.

check to see if the shocks move back and forth in the lower mount. They will appear tight, but still have some play. I have had this problem a couple times while playing around with the suspension.

Sounds like you looked into that, but seems like the typical problem.

Found it. Thanks guys. It was the lower bolts. They felt tight until I jacked the truck up and tightened them. That was it. I had to jack er up to feel that it was loose. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
