So i installed your cam awhile back but never actually got to hear it to the other day, does it have a slight lope it sure changed up my exhaust tone, i mean it sounds killer..

Also i added the springs and some HD pushrods.. Do we set the valves to the stock lash??

I kinda dont wanna move the truck till i figure these things out, i mean if anyone could help, i would be thankful..

 

I seem to recall reading that after a Helix 2 install, the truck is supposed to idle smoother.

 

The truck doesnt shake or anything, its smooth it just the tone of the exhaust that sounds a bit lopey, if thats how ya spell it ha..

 

The exhaust note will change some because we open the exhaust valve earlier than stock.

I like to set the lash at .008-.010" on the intake and .018-.020" on the exhaust.

There should not be a lope per se just a differnt exhaust note. Check the lash and see what happens.

 

Yep, lope sounds like the lash is not set properly. You most likely had some oil get down into one of the tappets while the pushrods were out. Go over the valves and see if the note changes.
