Brite box performance
Brite box performance
Hello everyone, I am seriously considering purchasing a Brite Box system for my 03 / 3500 4x4. I am currently running aftermarket blue bulbs but would like some feedback from anyone who is currently running a BriteBox system just to see how they hold up , if there is an increase in bulb usage, as well as general performance of the modification, How is the system on a wet rainy night for example? As we all know, sometimes more isn't necessarily better. Any feedback would be appreciated. Chances are pretty good I will purchase one for a few reasons but the most important one, I can install it, and my wife will not be able to physically see the units from outside the truck, so, it won't be the old " Hmmm what is that and how much was it..? " With the arms folded, toe tapping thing going on... I'm sure some of you can relate.. then of course when you take her for a ride at night the next thing is the Hell you get cause you didn't buy her one... "but of course honey, I'll get you one just trying the system on mine first, then I was going to get you one for your birthday......" Remember though if a guy does this..ALWAYS, put aside a little for flowers too...... It really does pay off in the long run.
Thanks guys

In my 2004 I put in two 80/100 watt bulbs and they have been in there for 50,000 k with no problems. Now and then the "Light out Bulb" comes on from the extra draw but it goes right away if you cycle the key once. Cost is less than $14.00 cdn for 2 of them.
This lighting is superior than those $60.00 fancy things that they are suppose to offer better lighting and draw the same power. Well those lights are brighter but for only the 1st 50 feet and after while it is hard on your eyes. There is not any great improvement in distant or out into the ditches. Go with the 80/100 watts and get the most bang for your buck.
In my 2001 I had the “Sport Head Lite” package with the 80/100 watt bulbs in there and that was still the best lighting I have seen on a Dodge Truck yet. It’s amazing that this company still can’t get it together on their trucks and put a decent head light in them. But then again that’s what keeps their parts department in business when you smoke a deer because the factory lights are pathetic.
