I have a Borla Stinger exhaust on my Cobra and the quality and sound is top notch. I have not seen one person on any forums using them on a CTD. If someone does have the exhaust how was the quality and sound. Thanks in advance.

 

Like a dope I posted before checking the Borla site. They had no part # for our trucks. I could have sworn I saw them advertised in Truck Trend or some other rag.

 

You can run a Borla as long as its a straight through design.

 

It's only recently that Borla added diesel exhaust systems to their lineup. I checked them out 2 years ago when I was shopping around, and they had nothing at the time. I have a Borla system on my on '89 Chevy sport truck and it's sounds very nice.

 

I think Borla does have a cat back for the 04.5's and up...could swear I saw it too. Maybe their web site is not updated...

 

Got their stinger system on the vette and man oh man is it sweet sounding. Don't think I'd pay the money for one for a diesel though. Not when I can get a complete 4" system from the turbo back with a straight through muffler for $350 shipped.

 

Check summit racing magazine or there website. I think I seen it there.

 

I'm not sure Borla has one out for the 600/610's yet. They list nothing for 2005, and the 2004 listing says nothing like "04.5, or "600'". I'd guess, based on that information (off Borla's website) that your outta luck if you have a 600, but ok otherwise.

BUT, that said, the price is very expensive. And while Borla makes a nice product, the fact of the matter is there are others out there as well that make nice, proven stuff (Banks, Magnaflow, etc) depending on the model truck you have, and for less money.

 

Fat asp your truck already has a 4 inch exhaust look into a aeroturbine mini muffler with resonator sounds sweet and no drone. Cost alot less than any system out there as well.
