How does the outlook monitor pick up the amount of boost the turbo is putting out? Is this a correct reading or how accurate are the numbers it is putting out? Has anyone checked with a stand alone gauge and the outlook and compared them? Thanks ahead of time!

 

The boost on my outlook monitor was always higher than my analog guage.. If I remember right it was about 5-6 pound higher... I believe it gets its reading straight from the ECM...

 

it gets its reading from the Map sensor....which with most aftermarket devices is being fooled somewhat...so no, the outlook isn't super accurate.

Its ok though, the Edge Attitude and A2 are the same way.

 

Boost fooler will not screw up the reading if it is plugged in right....should plug outlook into the stock sensor and then whatever box or fooler you have. this will make the outlook read correctly, but still send the "fooled" signal to the truck computer.
