Boost Fooler

Would I gain anything by adding a Quadzilla boost fooler on my 04.5? I'm not looking to gain HP, only looking for help while towing, maybe spool up faster, cooler EGT. Would there be any benefits at all?

You will see a tad more boost under heavt throttle, like towing which will help with some added hp and some cooling. For the price, its a must and it won't hurt anything.

I saw a drop in EGT's while towing. Definitly worth it in my opinion...

You can take a chance and pick one of these up on Fleabay pretty cheap. A lot of people get rid of them after they get a programmer with boost fooling.

Yes the boost fooler is an effective mod for stock trucks, i would also suggest the rocktek sensor to advance the timing at little = lower EGTs and better fuel milage. I have both those mods on my 04.5, which regularly runs around at around 30klbs, and it definently helped with the EGT's ( but not as much as smarty does).

I hope everyone is reading my sig. (I know that I have a lot of low-end junk on there), I have a Xzillaraider 2 XZT and Rokk timing sensor now, and keep the XZT on the 3 setting (60hp) while towing.

The X2 XZT is already boost fooling, so no need for the Boost Fooler.

How are you reading boost? If you are using anything hooked to the data bus or the OBD2 port then you will read the "fooled" number and not the real boost numbers.

I believe it is called the X2 XZT. I had a tow XZT (60hp) and sent it in to be up-graded. Is that what it is called now and how many hp is it now? Does it do boost fooling on all 3 settings or just on the mileage max setting I downloaded on setting 1? I tow mostly on setting 3.
