does the bully dog triple dog change the boost levels? or just fuel maps??? i have the bully dog monitor and it only shows about 22psi of boost max, on all settings......

also the truck just doesnt feel as fast as it should/could be... i guess?!? i do have 35s on it now..... it just doesnt feel much of a change between stock and performance....

then I dont think somethins right. I think with just bddl I can hit mid 30's and it is definately different than stock even with 35's

 

The bully dog doesnt do boost fooling. You need some sort of a box that does do fooling for the boost to go up.

That being said i hit 48psi daily with crazy larry and a boost fooler.

Yes, I know my turbo really hates me but i dont care.

 

get you a Quad boost fooler ($70 bucks), you will see right at 40 on stock turbo... before the boost fooler, I was only seeing 34-36.... makes alot of difference and lowers EGT a small amount.

 

What is the boost limit from the factory? I had the edge juice w/attitude before any other mods and hit 42 psi....?

 

It peaks at around 32 or so and then goes back down to something like 22.

 

With the '03-'04 models you will also need a boost elbow for the turbo. The elbow will prevent the wastegate from opening at around 22-24psi.

i mean the monitor only shows 22 psi but it does feel like more...... i re-installed the program and can feel a bit of a difference..... maybe somethign didnt load right?!

The boost elbow restricts the air flow to the wastegate.

if you have a boost elbow for an 03-04, no need for a boost fooler from Quadzilla.

 

So the 03 will not send error signals to the ECM? Out of curiosity why do they sell a boost fooler for an 03 than since you have to have the elbow to increase the boost with a stock turbo?

but why do you need more boost without a boost fooling, fuel-adding device on the MAP sensor?
