Body Lift Questions????

So i want to order a bodylift so my new tires wont rub, but i have heard good and bad things. I am not a fan of the body liftlike many others but i want to run atleast 39-40" rubber. Now i have a 6" Bds long arm kit and want the body lift for just that little extra. My question is, when they lift the cummins, do they change the intercooler hard pipe or do they just cut part of it so it fits? I want to find this out because i have a banks kit and if i have to put my stock intercooler back in, that is going to be a waste of money on my part cause i just added that intercooler not that long ago. We'll, any help would be much apreciated.

P.S. I know what lots of people think about bodylifts and i dont need to hear it again. But thanks for reading my post.

The intercooler does not move when you add a body lift, it sits on a frame cross member. The kit should come with a bracket to relocate the mounts for the top of the intercooler and radiator.

Also, remember your shift lever is going to be 3" shorter as well.

yes i have the bodylift and everything stays in the same exact spot the are just 3 in drop brackets everywhere.

P.S. those BDS long arms, do your 35's rub on them? i just got 41" iroks and im probably going to need special arms made because of how close the arms are to the wheels...

Body Lifts suck! Do it right and use a leveling kit or suspension lift. They are cheap for our trucks and will handle alot better if done right.

Read my sig. 6" BDS LONG ARM KIT and i want more. That is why i am going with the 3" body lifton top of the 6" suspension that i have already installed on my truck. thanks for coment though. and besides, i cant fit 40" tires with just a 6" suspension lift with out cutting the fenders.

I would Mod the lift kit before i did a body lift. I have been in one too many trucks that rode like SH*T to ever want to ruin a CDT with a cheap body lift. Thes trucks are too heavy and too powerful to fool around. Just my opinion. Im not tryin to offend anyone. I would hope if I asked about a product that someone on here though was a bad idea they would take the time to let me know.I hope your happy with it if you decide to install it.

Dude, what are you talking about trucks riding like **** because of a body lift? It doesn't even change the suspension. Modding a suspension lift is much much more likely to crap out the ride on a nice truck.

And I would "hope" people on here would take the time to read a frickin post. Read the last line of his first post. Not trying to start a war either or hurt feelings.

I've had my body lift on for a year now without a problem. I've backed away from them on other trucks in the past but, I belive as long as your not wheeling the heck out of it you've got no problems. Also it has no affect on ride quality. O ya get the gap gaurds they look like crap w/ out.

UnrulyNFS what i ment by "mod" was i would increase the size of the lift. I did read his post I just wasnt clear I guess. I am saying that I would go up to an 8'' or 10'' lift thats made up of good quality parts so the truck works right. No need to get all worked up. Like I said its simply my opinion to stay away from a body lift. They are cheap and ya get what ya pay for in my opinion. A band aid solution.

Body lifts over time can start bending the bottom of your cab in at the mounts dont know if its the same for our trucks but i have seen it happen on jeeps. Like mine
