Black Headlights
It took me about an hour to get everything off the truck and disassembled. So total time might be under a half a day, since it you have to let the paint set up. I think mineral gray would look great, ive seen a solar yellow truck that did the same and it looks sweet so yours should too. Joel
Floridacracker, I was told that using some self etching primer and painting it would hold up, yah it didnt. Its going in to be sand blasted and powder coated in a couple days. I would paint it white i think that would look sweet.
Well, I just got done reassembling my headlights. I have a white truck so I painted them white. It's dark out now so I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to install them on the truck. That Fusion plastic spray paint works very well.
The only time they gave me troubles was when I was putting the freshly painted part back in the lens cover without scratching off the new paint. When I put them in the oven, I baked the 2nd @ 225 degrees on convection and it apart real easy with a little help from the screwdriver. And like you said, getting all that old RTV off is a bear. I'd like to de-badge, but I'm afraid of the screwdrive to vehicle paint mis hap
