Talking Bit the bullet

High Tech's massive intercooler should be on my door step middle of next week I got it for a awesome price so I can't complain .I'm hoping for some lower egt's.So I think I made the right decision for now until I add another turbo to the mix. It's not a very good bang for the buck, but From the people I have talked to they have all been very happy with it so we will see.

Just remember to grind down the bumper bolts that stick out so it will fit correctly.. Also pay attention to the back "hangers" that the rubber blocks fit into that fit over the crossmember. I had to reshape them a little for fitment.

Is it just the one bumper bolt I'll Hve to cut? Am I able to just cut it the sawzall? The reason why I ask so many ????? is that I should get it on thurs next week and I'm leaving for IRP on friday so hopefully an easy install will be the case.

Initially Tim Barber said just one bolt (I don't remember which side) but for me the other side was just too close and interfered with putting it in. So I used the grinder and took them both down to the top of the nut. Yeah, a sawzall will work just as good, take it down as close to the top of the nut that you can and that will be fine.

You will be surprised how much bigger it is than the stock and it takes up a lot of room and sure looks purdy too...

The first thing you will notice is the stocker is less than 30lbs and the HTT is 75lbs!!

I am jealous. Good 4 you. It would be cool if you can find a stretch where you can do a before & after EGT comparison.

Them 3.3's run pretty hot? Only time I can ever see over 1400 is pulling down the track and it only goes to 1600 then.

nothing wrong with water... not only does it cool, but it adds power, and keeps combustion chambers squeaky clean!

Water will cool more than the CAC will... I think that is an apples/oranges comparison. Each has their place.

Wait till ya get some fuel then you'll get toasty. Flux 3.3's and a stg 3 pump compared to a stock pump and flux 2's is quite a bit different in the amount of fuel being pushed into the cylinders. I bumped the boost up to 60+psi and so far on smrty#7 Timing#3rail#3 im at about 1550 or so wot. This purchace is just a band aid until twins
