Bio and performance??

Can i safely run b80 in my truck and race with it? I go to the track almost every weekend and dont want to risk breaking anything with the bio. I met a guy that has been making it for a couple of years and runs it in all of his fleet vehicles. he told me he would sell it to me for $2.80 a gallon.

Can i run it with all my performance stuff? Is $2.80 a fair price for b80? Could you still add fuel additives with bio? like XPD.

To race..... don't do it. To drive...yes. You will notice about 1-2 mpg less and I notice a little less power w/b100. You wont hurt anything but you might not win a tight race.

I have run just about every blend from b100-b1 and I notice hp loss above b20. When you get close to 60-100 it was real noticeable. With higher concentrations I got better economy and the engine was a lot quieter (combustion noise) Everyone has different results, just like programmers. Give it a shot and see what it does.

from what I hear bill as long as its decent fuel you'll be fine. On the performance side I have seen lots runnin it. In fact there was a truck that ran the baja 1000 on 100% bio last year and had a podium finish I think.
