Well I took the plunge and bought some bilsteins.....
The ride let me tell you is like riding in a nice SUV and not a 1 ton truck I can say for the 300.00 that spent on them was a real good investment. I went throught a grocery store and lowes parking lot with lots of speed bumps with no bounce and a solid feel.

It was a set of 4 New Bilstein 5100 Series Monotube Gas Shocks for the 03-07 Dodge Ram 2500 / 3500 4x4 with 0-2" of lift.
Got them off of Ebay.

Ahhh! 5100s. That's the ticket ! They are great shocks. I tried to buy a set a while ago but was told that they were not available for the 06 yet.
