If you do the flexplate, go with the one here. It will save you a few hundred bucks and will hold the power just fine. http://www.transmissioncenter.net/dodge.htm

As far as an input shaft, you don't need to do a billet unless you are going to be doing high boost 4wd launches or pulling heavy - 15k+.

I won't be doing any launches. I don't race. I just want something to hold up to some extra horse power while I am going up and down mountains, or playing in the mud with my 37's, maybe 35's.

If your running 37s and planning on playing in the mud I would recomend a billet input. If your spinning and then all of a sudden hook that thing is going to snap like a toothpick and possibly waste that 1200 converter you just purchased then have to pay $400 plus for a trans guy to pull it out and rebuild it and that $600-$700 extra dollars is a bit of insurance to help you sleep better at night imo.

You make a valid point. I had a 1500 with 35's and would play in the mud all the time. I never broke anything, so I think karma is going to come around and pay me back with this truck. I am thinking about getting a torque converter, valve body, flex plate, and input shaft. Keep in mind I have no idea what any of those things do except for the torque converter, but I am so worried about busting stuff, that I don't mind. I kind of want to keep it around $3500 in parts though.

You are going to need to do a complete rebuild more then likely b/c if you are anything like most members on this forumn your bands and clutches are toasted!!!LOL. Converter single is good for about 450-500hp and triple what you can throw at it, just depends on what you want to do with it and believe me you will get the power bug badly in the future im sure so you may just spend a few extra $ and go for the triple disc. Also a aftermarket valvebody, along with a center reinforced flexplate for billet one, along with billet input shaft, and most say performance bands and clutches but stock is better then burnt.
