Angry Big Problem!

Yesterday I was driving and I noticed my tc locking in way early, so I knew something was up. Then my temp guage would almost redline then come back to normal. I filled the antifreeze/coolant back to the fill line which was WAY LOW. Now my question is what is wrong.

I am leaking water terribly from the water pump. So I believe that is what it might be. I poured a gallon of water into the radiator today twice and as soon as I started pouring it in, it began to drip very fast out of the bottom of the truck.

So what do you think???

find the leak, maybe a hose or the water pump, heater hoses.

Did you add coolant into the overflow bottle or did you fill into the Rad cap???

The questions is...is it leaking from the weep hole on the water pump...or is it leaking from the HG and running down the side of the block on top of the water pump???

IIRC, the weep hole on the water pump being big enough to GUSH water...might look at the hole to verify, then look at your oil to see if there is water in it. If there is no leak coming from the pump and you have coolant in your oil...probably a HG failure.

Its at the dealer today. Haven't heard anything yet. I filled the overflow bottle back up, and I put water into the Rad Cap. As soon as I started pouring it it would begin to drip very quick. It is the weep hole.

Sounds like your water pump went out. Just had mine fail and it was pouring coolant out from around the main shaft. Seals and bearings failed, factory pump with 107K.

It was the water pump. It went out at 69k.
