big mud tires for a 03 without a lift

i was searching to see what i could find, not much of a slection for the 17" rims. i found some 285 or 295 gooodyear mtr's and a bfg mud but everything else was all terrian. this is for a friend of mines truck and he needs as big as will fit mud tire, any suggestions? he would do the 2" leveling kit if need be. so what i need to know is what is availably. this truck is used to haul feed for 1100 head of cattle and it is some muddy where he is at nowadays.

heres what i have done to mine and i pull a 24ft gn trailer, i liked my truck with just the leveling kit, but when i started pulling my trailer i added the helper springs to keep it from squatting, it stiffens the ride up just a little, but its still ok

35x12.5x17 will fit with out a lift on the stock wheel fine. There are several choices of MUD tires...

BFG, Goodyear, Interco, etc that will work.

315's are 35" tall, or so close you can't tell they aren't.

315/75R17 is what you want to look for.

305/70/17 goodyear mt/r's would fit... procomp makes mud tires in that size too [and maxxis i think also?]... they are a little shorter than the 315/70/17's, but not by much..

I put some used ProComp X-Terrains in 35x12.5 on my truck, and I get rubbing full lock, on the factory al. rims.

The leveling kit is so cheap it isn't funny. I had it installed for less than $300. Then I put some 35x12.5x17 bfg mud tires on. No rubbing problems at all. I don't like the look as well as some of the trucks I've seen with aftermarket wheels so I'm going that route next. I'm going to run the toyo open country mts in a 35".
