Here is Opie's (Intelligent Engineering) kit installed on my 05:







There are other advantages of installing this kit besides relieving pressure. It also helps the coolant flow in cylinders 5 and 6. Not all the kits help this BTW.

One less thing to worry about was worth the 1/2 hour install. Good luck getting the plug out though.

paulb, when you installed Opie's kit did you have to remove your top turbo?

I ask cause I am about to install twins and was wonderin how much harder having twins would make the intall.

Will I'm going to try it with the top turbo in place. All you have to do is pull the plug from 5 and 6 and thread in the fitting. Thanx for bringing this up ryan

No there is a a plug on the top of the head that has a 3/8 shank between 5 and 6
