Spanky, uh Sparky <ahem> Sorry

TST knows its in the box, so they're working hard to get it gone.

Jawmail,

The 48RE is not going to hold the box on max power settings. It appears as though 80 ponies is about the limit for the 48RE, and we don't know how it will respond to torque enhancement mode on the TST box. With TE in full position, they've been able to generate an additional 150 lbft at 900 RPM, in effect doubling your torque.

Re:big HP boxes

I am waiting to see if satcking an EZ will have similar effects to the 2nd gen engines. I already could not wait so I have and EZ, it would be great if it will stack with the new TST or Edge boxes. Waiting, sometimes not patiently.

Re:big HP boxes

TST told me they may market a version of their box that does pressure as well. use it, or not. So no need to stack with an EZ.

sounds like adjustability will be a big plus for the TST.

Re:big HP boxes

I read an article that the new edge box will also have the option of adjusting the pressure so there will be no need to stack with an EZ either

so only running one box either way

BUT
what im wondering is,
are we gonna see either of these boxes now theres a new motor out again?

Is this gonna be another episode of Marcos Mad ECM?

I hope not

I really want a TST box
I have always liked the TST box
I want one!
I want one!
boo hoooo

Re:big HP boxes

My friend that sells Edge stuff told me the other day that they are shipping the Juice with Attitude monitor to him next week. I don't think that he's lying to me, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.

They're saying over 100hp, but they haven't given a torque number yet. I'm wondering if they're going to be able to get close to the 500ft/lb that TST is claiming out of their box. I can only hope...otherwise, there might be a Juice for sale when the TST is done. ;D

while your all waiting lets do a group buy on a good tc, valve body, input/output shafts so we can actually use the boxes! ;D

;D

Fortunately for me, I'm going to be immune to the auto tranny problems as when I ordered my truck the only way to get the HO was to get the 6 shooter. Now...how long will my clutch live? ;D

Re:big HP boxes

I too have the 6 shooter. But from freinds experiences with 2nd gens, our clutches wont last long under either of the big hp boxes. I sure hate to think of a new clutch before 20,000 miles. Oh well you have to pay to play. ;D

Re:big HP boxes

I said bye to my clutch at 4500 miles. I have a little headroom on the air side so I am really looking forward to mating it with some fuel. Of course I had this on my Xmas list last year...

Re:big HP boxes

... and they're in the final stretch

Just got off the phone with Mr. Chapple and Co. The high speed stumble is now officially gone. No more check engine lights. They're simply fine tuning the program now before going to full release.

I didn't have the time to talk over all the details on the box, as I was on the road when I called, but they will be burning boxes out the door just as soon as the program is all set ;D
