I use my outlook with the smarty and it sure does turn the power up and down. Not sure how but it works great. I turn it to 50% lots of the time on slippery / icy roads. It seems to tak a lot of the pedal out of it so its easier to keep it between the ditches.

NO, but the outlook will still read the peramiters you just need to set it up in the set up screen as 06/with other (if you have an 06), or whatever year and/ with other. The outlook will only change power levels with the triple dog downloader installed. If you run it outlook with triple dog settings installed but you are running a Smarty I would imagine it could screw up your computer due to 2 downloaders trying to interface as 1.
