The only mod that ever netted me better mileage was my Smarty...solid 1.5-2 MPG gain. The Edge EZ, Quadzilla XZT, and Triple Dog never netted me better mileage....neither did my intake or exhaust....

I agree, although i have never ran any other programmers...for me 1.5-2mpgs means i get around 17-18mpgs with smarty revo sw5 tm1.....i still havn't tried the "econemy" timing setting...

I also believe Smarty Jr is the only tool that actually got me some mileage. This compared to Rokktech sensor and Quad XZT2.

I haven't seen much of a gain if any with my smarty jr. What tune are you guys getting the best gains mileage wise from?

I have tried a Painless Striker, Smarty JR, Full 5" Exhaust, and Synthetic oil. I didn't notice any mileage improvements except when i added the Smarty JR. It smokes a lot more, but has averaged over 2MPG better. I now get at least 18mpg on my around town freeway trips. The best I ever got with a stock set up was 16MPG, usually around 15.6MPG.

My truck consistently gets between 20-22 mpg. 03 5 speed, stock. I always wonder if it is possible to get better. It seems like the people who say their smarty gave them 2 mpg more were on the lower side of the scale. I never hear anybody that is getting 22 mpg say I added this and I am now getting 24mpg.

07 with 20k.
Mileage increasers that I have tried.
Full synthentic=no increase in mileage. K&N filter=no increase in mileage. Quad xzt tow=maybe 1 mpg decrease in mileage, but quite a bit more power.
Truck gets 16.2-16.8 hand calc just about evertime. Towing a 5k trailer it drops to the high 13s.

Buddy has same truck bone stock and gets 19 mpg. The only difference is his came with stock mich tires, and mine came with stock bfg tires.

How many miles on your truck? at 40k both my crs got markedly bettter milliage...I heard other say this as well. Also bigger tires "gear" your truck down if that makes sense. Now I know that the rotating mass increases and in the city it might even hurt. I do a lot of hwy driving and my broken in trucks with smartys got about 1mpg better on the hwy when I went from 385/70/17 bfgs to 35/12.50/17 toyos. I keep em at 70 psi in front and 60 in back. My $0.02

The best mod I did for Gas Mileage was putting a cover on the bed. If you drive at speeds over 50 it makes a huge difference. My hand calc went up ~2.5 per gallon after the bed cover. It doesn't matter which one, just get one.
