What is a leveling kit, and why should I bother even thinking about putting one on???

I like it when the back end is a little higher than the front.

Thanks for any info.

Had them on my 01 and they work perfectly. I bounce my trucks around pretty hard on the ranch and I never had a problem.

It is pretty much a preference thing as it relates to "looks". It lifts the front end of the truck (usually like 2'') to give it a more aggressive look. In some cases they help stop or reduce rubbing if you run large tires such as 315's.

Personally, I think the large lift kits that jack the truck up high are just to much. But, the leveling kits are just about right. They make the truck stand up tall and proud without looking dumb. (imo)

To each his own, I like the front end a little lower.

you will get better fuel economy with the front end down,, but only marginally, it is a factory design to change airflow over top of the truck rather than underneath. But this being said, I still put a revtek 2" leveling kit in,, seems to be excellent so far. But,, anytime that you change any geometry in the front end of a dodge 4wd you have to do a wheel alignment. It is a total must,, you may be able to drive it without, but you will end up eventually with the death wobble. Also when they do the alignment make sure to tell your technician to advance the castor to 4.5 or more if they can. The stock specs are 1,, not enough to alieve wobble problems,, and trust me from personal experience the death wobble is scary.

And as for the rear bags,, the firestone bags are excellent,, the only decision in my mind is wether you go with the air compressor or fill it up yourself

My opinion
