The best deal on 19.5" tires and wheels

I have a single wheel one ton 2006 4x4 with 3.73 gears and before long I am going to need new tires. I would like to put taller tires on to up my gear ratio and lower my rpms. I drive alot of gravel and hear that you can get 14 or 16 ply tires in the 19.5's. Do they come in a decent mud tire? I haul quite a bit and need the heavier duty tires. Who has the best price? I don't need aluminum wheels but whatever is the cheapest.

I have 22.5 with on/off road tires and love them! We buy our wheels from Stephanie at www.theduallystop.com Wheels and tires are an investment and make sure you don't cheat your self and buy cheap steel wheels just to save money! Just upgrading tires and wheels alone will pay for themselves over the life of the truck! Since you have a srw truck you will have to step up to the 22.5 with a 255/70/22.5 Super Singles. The tires alone will last 200K miles... That right their is my justification for spending the money plus the wheels are awesome! They will turn heads!!

Yep,

Rickson, Brentz, and Vision are your 19.5" options. The Vision wheels are unavailable until the end of December, unless you can find them in stock at a dealer.

The Ricksons and the Brentz are quite pricey, but look killer.... you could buy 8 Vision Wheels for the price of 4! It's all relevant though.

I just got a set of Visions about a week and a half ago. I had them shipped from Les Schwab in Idaho ($186 freight ) and when they got here I discovered that they were used! They were in pretty good shape, but the Schwab guys made it right with me and I ended up paying less than $100/wheel before shipping. I shook out at about $550 on the whole deal. That is what 1 of the Ricksons or Brentz cost. I'm now in the hunt for some rubbers to wrap them in. I'm looking at the Hankook DH01 in 265, but there are only 8 in the entire country. This is not the first time I have chased something that seems almost unobtainable for the truck!

Any way you go with the 19.5"'s I'm sure you'll be happy!

Oh, after re-reading your post I see that you aren't too concerned if they are aluminum or not.... Rickson does steel wheels either bare, with trim ring, or with a simulator.

I know it has been a long time since I have looked at 19.5 wheels but do you have a part number for the Vision wheels that will fit a single wheel one ton?

Therefore, why would you buy cast aluminum "made in china" Vision wheels and Hankook tires. (Vision does use stainless center caps though which are pretty nice.)

Brentz and Ricksons and Alcoas (if you use wheel adapters) are forged in the USA. You do get what you pay for. And as far as tires, Michellin is about the best you can get.
