I got the Monster 5" from http://www.rpmoutlet.com/dodgecdd5.htm It was $400 shipped to my door. The fit was excellant and the sound even better. All of the OEM hangars on the exhaust fit exactly where they were supposed to. Very happy with it and it is made from 14 gauge aluminized steel. I never look under my truck at the exhaust nor do I polish the exhaust much so I stayed away from stainless. I did order the 6" stainless tip from them as well. JMO.

i've got BD's 5" system under my 04... although it is only 5" from the downpipe back... i am quite happy with it. not sure if it is mild steel or 409 stainless though [i don't remember seeing an aluminumized coating on it before i painted it..]

There's another option for a 5" exhaust. You can also get it through Jeg's. The Jeg's 5" "Subway Tunnel" exhaust is made by Heartthrob.

1baddually,

We got them but be sure you are willing to listen to it it is louder than a 4.0, just an FYI! Call su ours is 4.0 down piep and then 5.0 from there out, and we have our pricing policy too make sure you get the price right too! WE also have a 5 to 5 inch or 5 to 6 inch tip that looks right at home on a 5 incher!

Staarma, does the rpm kit retain the kitty or not? i wanna get rid of it and don't wanna hafta get a cat delete pipe after the fact....also you think you could get me a good pic of how it exits behind the rear wheel i'm kinda picky about that....thanks...

No, it doesn't come assembled. You have to put it in piece by piece like all other exhaust kits and how you take the stock out.

It chases the kitty away. I will get a pic of the exit for you and post it in a minute or two.

Ok, I got hung up a little. Sorry for the delay. The pics are in my gallery pending approval. Yeah, yeah the truck is a little dirty. Hunting season opened here last weekend so it isn't going to get any cleaner either.

You have a little control over the exit but not much. I picked where I wanted it for the noise and so the smoke stays away from my bumper.

It comes with 2 intermediate pipes, one for a short box and one for a long box.

Let me know if you need any more pics or have any more questions.

staarma,

hey thanks..thats the way i wanted it to exit angled back like that, i didn't want it parrallel to the bumper...so if you're happy with the system and it installed smoothly, looks like i'll be getting that one, and a 6 inch tip too...
