Best 2.5 turbo for an Auto

Well my stock turbo went south.... ...looking to upgrade anyway. What is the best turbo for an 05 Auto with my mods....I am going to be sled pulling quite a bit, drag racing, daily driving and towing quite often...I dont mind a little lag on the street but i want something that will perform on the track...Dont want to spend the money on the twins, and they limit you to pulling in the open class. ...I want a turbo that I can pull in the 2.5 class....Any suggestions? thanks

A 64/14 I think is about the biggest you can go this is 2.4 I believe also how often at the local pulls do they measure our turbo sizes?? I remember once last year there was 12 trucks in the mod class at drivers meeting they said that they was measuring turbo sizes within 5 minutes there was 5 trucks in the class

They seem to check them every now and them....Several of our NKTPA pulls hoods have been opened and turbos have been checked!

i would go with a 62/71/14 ss from htt that will allow you higher egts with the stainless steel exhaust housing. a 64 comes out to 2.51968

i would go with the ss exhaust housing if you can afford to do it. it will help to spool the turbo faster and allow you up to 2000-2100 deg egts. the cast iron is what limits the egts you can run.

yeah if you get a htt you can always send it in and have them upgrade it or upgrade it yourself. sometimes when you send it in for the up grade they just consider it a core and send you a new one.

i have a 64/71/13. i also have a 2.55 plug that we tech our pulls with, and the plug goes in, spins, wobbles whatever. so from what i can tell you is my 64 is to big for the 2.5 class. hope this helps.
