Believe it or not made up my mind wheels/tires ordered

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for links/thoughts on my wheels and tires. I decided to go with the Toyo open country M/T in a 275/70/R18. The wheels were the tuff part. I DO NOT like a lot of wheel sticking out from the fender so my choices were narrowed down from the begining. I found the exact one I wanted, I have never seen it before and I was stoked. Then I found out they were very hard to get and it would be 8-12 week min wait and the vendor said that was a stretch. They were the Ballistic Offroad Jesters. Awesome wheel but I am not paying good money to wait when the vendor is not at all confident in a projected delivery date. My # 2 choice is way too common for me, but the more I looked at them the more I like them. I will have to suffer ad see other wheels just like it but oh well. I went with the XD Monster 18X9 with the toyo. I think with my 4.10s going to a 33.6" tire was a good choice, anyway I will post pics next week when I mount them.

They will look like this, this is a wider tire but you get the idea

HAHA your truck is awesome. I have a Black truck with the same N-Fab steps now Im getting wheels and tires very similar to you. Great minds think alike . If my truck looks 1/2 as good as yours I will be very happy. Great Rig. Semper Fi gents.

What is the backspacing on that wheel? I looked at the XD 795 wheels in 18x9 with a 6.18" backspacing, but figured they'd still be sticking out 3/4" more than my stock wheels. I like the 275/70R18 tire size and would go with it if I could find some stock offset 18" wheels.

They are 5.71BS with a +18offset with the tire only being 11" wide I should not stick out but 1/4 +- a bit

It should work with a +30 offset. I will admit it all confuses me I thought more bs and more +offset the more it was tucked under the truck. But again that is why I went with a tall narrow tire vrs the 33/12.5 I wanted.

Just get some flares if they stick out too far. Nice wheel/tire combo.

If my math is correct and the stock backspacing is 6.5", those will stick out .79 " because of the difference in backspacing, and another 1/2" (half the additional rim width), or 1.29" from factory. On my truck that means the outer inch of tread is not covered by the fender. Although this does not look bad on these trucks I'm concerned about the abuse to my paint from road debris. Flares will help the fender edges, but not the bottoms of the doors and bed.

I run Mopar mud flaps with stock rims/tires and the bottom of my rear fenders are still hammered behind the tires. If I ever get that area repainted I'll be sure to do the clear bra in the effected areas. Maybe I'm too paranoid, but I want the truck to look good and last.

I will let you know when I get them mounted.the vendor told me 1/4 to 1/2. I guess we will see soon, if they hang out much more I will be angry. I don't like the looks of tires that stick out too far, and I have no desire to spend $500 for pocket style flares ,
