BDS 6" Lift Long arm or standard?? Leaf of block??

I am getting the BDS 6" Lift and am wanting to know the best ride for a truck that is mainly a pavement queen. I called BDS and they said the Leaf pack will make it definitely ride rougher and stiffer without a load and he also said the long arm kit will make it ride considerably better. Is this true? Has anyone had any first hand experience?

I have the long arm on mine with the rear leafs, i think it rides 10 times better than the 4" superlift i had on this before. if u do alot of towing though, i would get bags in the back as my leafs are saging a little bit from towing heavy loads.I persanally this the kit is really good.

blocks in the rear= big time axle wrap. I always perfer full springs. Also long arms will provide a better ride.

Easy to fix with traction bars...and flat leaf springs work FAR better than ones with an additional 6" ove curve to them.

I run the long arm kit on mine. A little more work on install but well worth
the effert. My tires do sit a little to the back of the fender well and the 37 s
rubbed a little. you might bolt the lower long arm bracket forward a touch
to help if your going to run 37s.

Please do not do what Stilwell says. He has a good idea, moving the axle forward to help clearance, but you would need to move both upper and lower arms forward to achieve this. By only moving the lower arm forward you will only change the amount of adjustability for your caster and may make it unable to be set.
The long arms provide a better ride but it is not an amazing difference, get them if you like but not necissary for a street queen. I just like the looks of mine and they make bigger lifts easier, plus when I get another DD this thing is going to see some action. As for the rear, the flatter the leaf the smoother the ride. If wheel hop becomes a factor, put on some traction bars. I have blocks that are about 2" longer than factory and it doesn't hop especially bad, and sometimes not at all.
