I recently purchased an 04.5 QC cummins Laramie that is essentially a brand new truck. (5,700 miles) I've been a Ford guy my entire life but I really like my new Dodge. That cummins motor is powerful and quiet.

I have experience with modding both a 7.3 and 6.0 powerstroke and now I'm looking to add some more hp to the Dodge. Does anyone have any insight on the BD Ram X Power Plus? I can get a package deal that comes with an x-monitor and it sounds like a great power box. (up to 180 hp and 340 ft. lbs over stock) I can't find any first hand knowledge so any help would be appreciated.

By the way, what kind of power increase can the stock 48re handle?
I'm guessing about 100 hp if you don't hot rod the truck...........thanks

I can tell you're experienced re: what the stock tranny will take. You're right on board based on my personal experience with the 48re. On the BD Ram X Power Plus,... honestly I haven't heard squat on that one. You probably should do a search and maybe something will pop up. Good luck bombing.
