Bd Rad

Hey guys,
I'm looking into the BD RAD for when I go to the track. I just want to get feedback from those who own one to know whether or not its worth it. My primary use for it will be for the track...I already have the transmission done, so I'm not concerned about breaking that...

What do you guys think?

Thanks!!!

I just got one and it's awesome except that you lose all your factory guages when you turn it on.
No more hesitation between shifts............
Nice!!!

Guys, RAD, Racer's Anti Defueler. For 03 and 04's. I don't use the RAD unless for racing and it is a big difference...but you need a fully built tranny as you will be shifting with full torque and power and with a locked TC this is full on tranny testing. If you have any kind of a performance box and shift with RAD at WOT (wide open throttle) you will rip the flexplate and input shaft out of a stock tranny. Even when the RAD is off it limits the speedometer to 80mph so you have no top speed limit and no accurate speedometer above 70mph . ks

That kinda stinks though...not being able to have a functional speedometer over 80..... not.. that.. I.. would.. EVER.. go.. that.. fast.

So does this device kill a Outlook Monitor as well? Will it allow you to do a full brake stand get boost over boost at stock? Meaning does it de-fuel if you gas it and are still showing no wheel speed?

Genros, That's cool. You will be very happy with Tim. He doesn't mind if you want to help and he will answer all of your questions without making you feel like an idiot for asking.

Good choice! As my sig says, Tim is the man. Try to get him to take you for a spin in his truck..... Around 650hp on diesel only!!!

03 SO's suffer the most from TM. We really need the RAD.
I know that sometimes, w/o the RAD, if I hammer it from a stop, it will just fall on it's face from the TM. It's the same at the 2nd gear shift. It doesn't do it all the time but man it stinks when it does!!!

No longer though.....

the 05's are bad too mine does it to sometimes there are ways of lauching to avoid it but u still dont get the full effect of a normal lauch.sometimes i can launch in 2wd with 10-15lbs of boost and literally have to let off the gas to stop spinning and other times it will not even chirp im guessing this is the TM kicking in. for 210 bucks if it can get me any bit faster i think it would be a great mod.

Ok! Ok! I get it!.......

.....

....it'll be here Friday

With the mods in my sig, minus the FASS, I managed a 14.09, that's with ~7lbs of boost at launch. I'm not asking for 3 seconds....I'll be happy with 1/2 a second! Any tips/advice on the install?
