Banks Intercooler Install Tips?

I could not pass up a good deal on a Banks intercooler. I figured it was better than stock. Anyway, has anyone done a Banks (or other brand) intercooler install on a 06? I was just wondering what is involved? Do I have to completely remove the A/C condenser or is there a way to move it just enough to slide the intercooler down? Any other tip I should know about before the install? Thanks.

Yeah just move the AC condenser out of the way.
Been a couple years since I installed mine and can't really remember the whole deal other than take your time and do it right.

I've got an 05, but they should be the same. As PourinDiesel mentioned, you can just move it out of the way. If you have a rafter or truss in a garage, it makes it a whole lot easier to pull it up and suspend at an angle away from the front end. I agree, just take your time and don't force anything and you will be fine. If you have someone to help, they can hold the condenser out of the way for you, but I did it by myself with no problems. Took a couple of hours.

I just put a HTT IC in myself and it was pretty easy I'm a little guy and the IC was 75lbs. I unbolted the AC condenser and bent it out of the the way. It took me by myself about a 1/2 hour. Very easy install.

before you put everything back together, do a test fit of the inter cooler, i found that after i put everything back into place, the cooler was hitting the front bumper brackets, and i caught it in time, but not before it dug a small hole into the alum. i had to use a torch to trim some away, instead of taking that thing back out. if i would have looked closer when putting the stuff in, i would have trimmed it then, much easier.

IC Install

Thanks all for the tip. I was just afraid I'll damage the condenser and it will leak. My problem now is how to fit the pipe from the Banks IC to my CFM horn. The Banks pipe I believe is 3 1/2 and the CFM is 3" I was thinking about taking the pipe to a muffler shop and sqeeze it with a hydraulic machine or get a reducer boot or simply go with the Banks horn I love my CFM but if I have to I'll install the Banks horn. What do you all think I should do?
