I read about it in the March 07 issue of OFF-ROAD magazine. Looks like a nice piece, better flow than a welded aluminum manifold, so it says. However, I just got off the phone with Banks, the guy didn't know anything about it, had never heard about it in any of their meetings, and had no I dea about the CTD factory intake being a part of the head. The article said Banks does this machining, but he couldn't tell me any details. He is going to get back to me after he finds out the details. So, anyone heard anything else?

I have thought about having my head machined and flowed, but that is a few mods and lots more money down the road. If the Banks Intake isn't going to be, or will be super high$$$$, most likely if it does come out, what options are there? Has anyone done the intake mod? Hows it work?

 

there was a truck at the east diesel power challenge that had it. it wasnt on the market but banks let him be the test mokey. anyways he said it had blown off 3 times before. it also was a very very tight fit. not sure if that helps but thats all i know about it.

 

never could understand how it helps with air flow you are still keeping the very narrow intake heating grid in place??

 

Thanks Judge, was wondering about the problems, as I said I'm a ways from that type of mod, but it's planned. I was thinking some may have thought I was talking about just the intake horn, not the whole manifold.

Well, Banks got back to me late yesterday, said that it will be produced, but no info as to when or how much of course.
