Back Again With Issues,
Back Again With Issues,
well, a few weeks ago, i was running posts about problems with truck and mods, I think it all turned out to be valve lash adjustment, ran great for 3 days after that, then, storm hit, i hit some water on the road, fairly hard, the next morning, cranked truck and would hardly idle, sounded really rough and alot of clatter, so I killed it and drained the water filter on my airdog 150, jumped in and cranked it, purred like a kitten, ran great all day, which was about maybe 30 miles of running around town, then home, woke up the next morning, drove to town, ran great, went to a shop and had the bg fuel system flush ran on the truck, they disconnect my fuel system and truck runs on thier cleaner agent and machine, truck ran great on machine, did their thing, and unhooked, put my air dog system back online, and made it to the bottom of the lot when they were going to test drive it, about 50 ft, started stumbling and hardly idling, like the morning before, I jumped under and drained the water filter again, but did no good, finially pulled bothe airdog filters, and changed them, dumped the old filter out, fuel filter had some black looking dust and such in bottom of bucket i dumped it into, cranked it again, and still no good, disconnected the hose from the tank to the airdog pump, and drained a little fuel out, cranked truck and ran better, still not great but alot better, made it about 3 miles and started it again, would hardly run, pulled filters again, dumped them and they looked good, pumped my fuel tank empty with the airdog, filter off, looked at ever bit of fuel i pumped out and saw nothing that looked bad, put every thing back together and ran good, not great home, had power but at higher speeds, would cut out and clatter, finally last mile home started running bad again, gave up for the night, cried myself to sleep, next morning cranked truck sounded good, had power, on thest drive felt strong, a little more than usual clatter at higher speed, then DING, ck engine light came on, and truck died instantly, would not crank, just turn over, did the 3 key thing but no codes, just the dashes, and then done, diconnected airdog, hooked up stock fuel system, still no crank, called tow truck, sent to dodge, the next day they called said cranked fine, ran fine, until warmed up, then started stumbling, and sputtering, diagnoses, 6 bad injectors, and connector tubes, caused bu contaminated fuel, because they found rusted metal debris in the stock fuel filter canister, warrenty does not cover fuel contamination, truck was not running on old fuel filter so i disagree with them on that part,
okay, sorry for so long, but can think of shorter way to explain, LOL, will water in system take out injectors, 2 weeks earlier other dodge dealer ran all fuel pressure testa and said injectors and system were fine, (ran test with airdog hooked up) Insurance will cover if damage was caused by hitting the water, but not for fuel contamination, dodge says he can not tell insurance it was caused by water, because of the debris he see,s in old canistyer he says bad fuel caused it, Im puzzled as to which caused it, i drained the tank and found nothing, no water, no dirt, could BG have loosened everything and not flushed it out?, so I need new injectors, any advice on this issue, seems like Ill be paying out of pocket, so looking for cheapest route,
well, sorry for so long hope some one can help,
P.S Dodgezilla, i read back on your posts, I thingk i got your devil demon in my truck now, LOL
06 - dodge
6 - years im suppose to pay for it,
6 - times a day Im beating my head against the wall, LOL
thanks guys have a great day

Check the wires by the starter, wish i had some pics of it but its yellow i think and can get rubbed down to the bare wire and cause issues with starting. Might not be whats goin on but it could be some of the no crank issue!
Also there is another wire thats in a wire cluster under the oil filter that can rub down to bare wire and cause the truck to run rough and clatter more than usual, i just wish i had pics but i read about this over on TDR and there is some pics of the wires on there!
How did rust get past the filter? If there's rust in the fuel filter canister, it shouldn't have made it past the filter if the factory equipment was working...especially if it's big enough to see with the naked eye. Even the cheap fuel filters are 10 or 12 micron, which isn't visible without magnification. Sounds like your dealer is looking for a cheap way out. I know you said it wasn't working with the factory equipment, but that's what Dodge is using to avoid the warranty repair, so I'd point out the flaw in their argument and see what it gets you.
BTW: Why won't your insurance go after the fuel distributor if they are actually at fault?
