Auto to 6 speed?

You guys have any idea how much it would cost me to do a swap? I would really like to have a six speed. I am in the process of building my truck. I want a box, turbo, and injectors. Probably a different intercooler. Before I build my 48RE up to snuff' Would it be cheaper to convert to a six speed?

for what you would spend in a NV5600 if you could find one, a good clutch and computer upgrades etc.. i bet you could build a sweet 48RE. just my .02

I think you are right brett. Not to mention, not having to shift gears all the time. I test drove a 6 speed for a buddy a little bit ago, I sure dont miss shifting gears all the time.

If you are like me, whatever you have, you will some times really want the other. Swapping to a manual will be a bunch of work. My guess would me bake that 48RE kick arss. On the other hand, doing silly stuff that makes no sense is a spice of my life.

You would need 2 complete truck's.....

Seriously its best if you can find a guy with an manual that wants a auto, park them side by side and swap tons of parts.

There's so many little odds and ends it would cost you a fourtune of little nickle and dime parts, not to mention the big items like steering colum, ecm, carpet, console, drive shafts, heck almost a whole truck....

Why do you want to swap. I'd never do it. Either deal with it or sell it for a manual..

Its not cheap or easy, then add in the cost of a good clutch.

It will be very very expensive between 8-10K
