Yes...hp is way underated...lol.

That made me spit cofee. I will trade 1 mpg for 100 hp or 3 for 500 any day of the week.

Thanks Christian!

I'm running Flux 2's with a 62/71/13 over an S474. At 4000ft elevation, where I live, I have to drive around the smoke. When I'm at sea level, it's difficult to make it smoke...elevation is a huge factor! There is a vid of my 1/4 mile run on YouTube and you can see that at lower elevations, there's lil to no smoke. I'm actually gonna go a tad bigger with my injectors soon...gotta get a tad more fuel for some nitrous!!!

I'm at 500 ft above sea level,so what would you do??I'm not looking for it to not smoke on kill, just want it to be very driveable and almost smoke free easing around town on injectors only, and it is a 6 speed so it's on and off boost alot,so it's not like an auto and on boost and stays their,so if it smokes on accell it will smoke alot with all the gear changing.

I have never run Flux 2.0's.

Flux 2.5's would be good for 700-750hp depending on your year and exact setup.

After having tried Flux 2.5's, 3.3's, and 4.4's, I believe the 3.3's to be the best all around compromise between power, drivability, and fuel economy.
Most guys that I talk to that have tried a few different sizes agree with me.
I understand the 03-04 trucks can run a bit larger injector on the street, but I have no experience with those trucks and fuel economy will certainly come in to play (in a daily driver).

I think the 3.3's can make 750-800hp with a tightly tuned system (depending on your production year and setup), but I have not dynod it or seriously tuned my setup yet.

The other big advantage with the 3.3's is that there is significant fuel for a nitrous setup....Something (I think) ideal for a guy that wants to go down the track a few times every year.

I would think the 3.3's would produce 900-950hp on nitrous, but haven't wrung out that setup either.

Good power can be made with the Flux 2's, I hit 720 with mine using just the Smarty TNT/R. I do have a cam which helps spool faster, at the same time helping to control smoke. Your 265 tires won't lug the motor like my 35's, you have an advantage there. With an 80mm primary, you'll be able to make more power than my 74mm.

I'd bet you would be really happy with a set of Flux 2's !I think I'll be stepping up to those 3.3's, though.

Just saw that vid in which you waxed that Powerstroke... did you have the Flux 4.4 on then? If so, there was hardly any smoke!

Yes... and have absolutely no intention of getting bigger injectors.

I see your elevation is high too,so you think i should stay with 2's or go alittle bigger at 500feet above see leave,I also see you have a fast spooliing set of twins......thanks for the input.

Depends on what you want to accomplish. All of the below are from my observations driving between 4,000 - 10,000 feet. Everyday driving is at 5,000-6,500 feet elevation.

If you tow, Flux 2's are more than enough. Heck, stock injectors are more than enough! With Flux 2 and one TST or the lowest non-TNT Smarty setting (~425 rwHP), I'm about pushing the limits of my cooling system in terms of water temps and in terms of oil pressure dropping due to the oil getting hotter. EGT are not the issue. I've towed before with Flux 2 and TNT on #7 and my truck's frame was making really weird noises at take-off or accelerating. All this only towing a 7,000 lb car trailer so you can compare to what you tow. If I had Flux 3.X injectors and towed I would probably just turn the electronics off except for the boost fooling.

As far as mileage goes - a week ago, I did a trip to northern Montana and back hauling a friend's car and averaged 14.9 mpg at 70 mph. If I tow in "town" then mileage is down to ~14 mpg due to stop-and-go and lots of speed changes.

As far as smoke control goes - with the Flux 2 and everything turned up, the smoke is still really easy to control at my elevation. I can go from nada smoke to major blackout with very progressive and linear throttle input - towing or not. I don't know if you would lose that feature with bigger Flux's.

If you want to win dyno contests, then you probably should go bigger. I don't know about streetability with bigger injectors though. Christian (cquestad) can answer that. He lives about 1000' lower than I, but tows heavier regularly and with bigger MPI twins than I. He also has an automatic, which may help keeps things "on boost".

As far as power number goes, the last time I dynoed at 575 HP with smaller BD twins and a single CP3 pump. I figure I am at ~650 HP now with the GT4202 (hair smaller than S400), not the Flux 2, limiting the power production and I am pretty content to stay there.

To answer your questions about elevation, you could probably go bigger. Personally, on the rare occasion that I do drive at sea level, my truck is even more responsive and streetable than it is now. If it was my decision, I would go with Flux 2 injectors and see if they meet your expectations. If not, then just get them modded again to bigger Flux's for a small incremental cost.

Man thanks for all the input,I would like to say 800 hp and still be streetable and smoke free easing around town, but not sure if that can happen.I like to be able to keep it around 18 mpg or so too,i gets 20 to 20,5 now driving it right. If i can go bigger and just run on injectors only driving and towing with maybe just timing that would be fine, you may be right i can always go bigger but hard to go down in size.

I like the 3.3's just afraid they will be too smokey on normal driving.
