My dad has a 04.5 6-Speed with 185,000 miles and 3.73 gears. He's really skeptical about chips, but he doesn't do any towing anymore, just highway miles. He DOESN'T want to add horsepower, he just wants a couple miles to the gallon. Is it worth the $500 or $600? He would like to know what kind of mpg gains any of you may be getting out of this tuner.

 

From what I've read all it does is safely raise the rail pressure. For $500.00, I'd buy the smarty jr and run the fuel economy tune. With the smarty you don't get a dial thingy, but mads and smarty make an AWESOME product. I have it on my and not 1 issue.

 

There are two models for the Atomizer. My dad is more interested in the one that has the hand-held controller, similar to the smarty. Anyone with input is appreciated.
