ATS arc flow/ CFM+
ATS arc flow/ CFM+
So i've heard that these really aren't necassary, true or false? Should I spend the money on one? I have a cooling mist system and gauges I am going to install and was wondering if I should purchase the intake or just tap and thread the stock stuff! Thanks
I've got the ATS. I THINK it's helped the turbo spool a little quicker, but no real power gain. It DOES look good under the hood and is pre-tapped for your water/meth. If money is tight, just tap the stocker...
I went with the GDP Power Flow Intake Horn, it does seem that the turbo is spooling faster, power gain ??? Lowered my EGT's. All in all, I'd do it again. My future plans are changing the turbo, maybe twins. That is where changing the intake horn would more or less be a necessity. The stock horn really does have a goodly amount of restriction as compared to the GDP. Like CTDinMT says - If your money is tight, tap out the stocker . . but remember to change the gaskets out when you're done.

I have the CFM+ manifold and did notice some egt reduction (50-100*) and maybe a little quicker spoolup. But not really necessary unless going beyond 500hp. I wanted an intake horn that would match the valve cover and my stgII afe.
