Anyone's truck hard to start w/ a TST
Since I have put my TST box on, my truck will crank for about 5 seconds before starting sometimes. Tonight my truck actually died after it started up, and it's an automatic.. What gives??
Lift pump dying maybe, or do you have a pusher pump? Maybe the injector pump is going south
? Did it start doing it, right after you put the box on, or a while after you had it on? Im not sure. I also see you are from Lexington Ky. Im from Garrard County, down close to Danville. Dad works at Central Baptist hospital in Lexington and drives a blue regular cab stock 4x4 12 valve 5 speed. Maybe youve seen him before? There is pictures in my gallery. Do you ever come to any pulls in Lincoln County, or anywhere? They have some good ones every year. Talk to ya later.

I have had the TST on for about 3 weeks but the hard to start thing just started happening off and on. If the pump is going south, the truck is gone, I'm not going through this w/ under 7k miles, I paid too much money for problems this early.. I guess I'll just keep rollin and see what happens.BTW, My dads side of the family is from Paint Lick. I used to work in Danville and all that area down below Juction City. I've got a houseboat down there at Sunset marina, so I'm in Garrard Co. all the time. I did go to the truck pull in Danville earlier in the summer but I couldn't make it to the one in Stanford.

I need to bring that up to my history teacher and see what he says.
Coolslice, check the fuel pressure. The CP3 pump is much stronger than the old school VP44 and not as sensitive. It just needs positive pressure. So anything above 0 is good for it.

. Im pretty sure my dad used to live in paint lick when he was younger. Do you know where bryants camp is? If you are in front of the little road that goes down through there, your only a mile or a hair more from my house. Sunset Marina is just out of danville on the left if your heading back to garrard county/lexington on 34 right? If its where im thinking of, and im pretty sure it is, then your still only maybe 5-7 miles from my house. I live on forks church road, if you know where thats at. Hopefully its not your injector pump for sure! Do you have a fuel pressure gauge or any other gauges on it? Do you have a pusher pump or just the stock lift pump? Listen to make sure your lift pump is running whenever you first turn the key to the "on" position. Also, like was suggested, let the key stay in the "on" position just for a few seconds before starting it so that the lift pump has time to build fuel pressure, so that the injection pump has some fuel to run on, and doesent have to suck it up itself. Good luck

Yes, the lift pump is stock. I have gauges, just not one for fuel pressure. No pusher pump or anything like that, but the last couple of days it has been fine. I'm usually good about waiting to start, but I guess I don't always wait which could be the reason for the starting trouble. Thanks for the advice, I'll let you know if it requires any work to be done.

Well, hopefully it just has something to do with you not waiting to start long enough or something like that. Hopefully its not anything serious. Yes, you were right. I went to Danville right after i posted that to get an air conditioning **** from the Dodge dealer(i broke mine
), and looked, and it is coffees cove marina im thinking of. Talk to ya later.

I've also passed Big Bone Lick state park and chuckled. I must also say that on my ATV trip to Hatfield/McCoy trails in WV, the funniest towns were called Mount Gay, and Man! Due to the close proximity of these two towns, I'm also curious about those settlers

It's certainly disappointing to see people having so many problems with the TST. Maybe all this delaying and testing by Edge with the Juice isn't such a bad thing...
