Looking to buy a Hog Performance exhaust and was wondering is it loud, is there drone and if there is is it bad? Did it fit good,would you buy it again or go a different way. Want a stainless 304 and options are limited. last which muffler do you have, the standard or the quiet one.

They sound good! A little louder than an mbrp or afe but they sound good. Fit: uh not so good. I've installed 3 and fought every one. No i wouldnt buy one again, just because of the fitment. I do like thier rolled stainless tips for
4" they look sweet

 

I have one on my truck and with the cat (particulate trap) the drone is not bad - without, it gave my wife, which gave me, a headache. I thought the fit was good; I have installed probably 10 of them on friends trucks (Ford, Chev and Dodge) Dodge was by far the easiest to install. Mine was the first that I had done and it took me, from start to finish, pulling tools out and clean up, 2 hours. I also did put and recommend putting spot welds on the joints - just makes for a nice finish and keeps everything in place. And you cant beat the 304 SS.

 

Can you tell me which muffler you have, the standard or the aff.(quieter than standard) one.

thanks, someone informed me about that so I figured I would try both sites.

 

I had one on my 01, it was fairly easy to install, loved the sound.
