I took mine off....but not on purpose...hit a stump....turning a 20 foot dump trailer on an ATV trail. It looks fine...but it does cost a little mileage I bet. ks

The less air you have going under your truck the less drag you will have. Air dams and spoilers help keep air from going under the vehicle by channeling air around the vehicle. I don't know how much it would affect milage on Dodge trucks though.

Someone here tracked their mileage with it off and I think the results were pretty surprising to most. Reducing the air going under your vehicle has a huge difference on drag, especially at higher speeds. If you do any large amount of highway driving it may offset the cost of a new plastic piece. Read this here down at the bottom. I have thought for a while to get some trailer siding we have off some wrecks and panel up the bottom to reduce drag. Get some Dzus fasteners so it is removable. http://www.dodgeforum.com/archive/th...1155901-1.html
I bet paneling up the bottom and running some highway rib style tires would make for some real good mileage. It would probably be good for the 1/4 time also.

The airdam doesn't have any effect with our trucks. I didn't see any change in fuel economy or engine temps when I removed the airdam.
Does effect the gassers though.

yeah it is a pain to get those two bolts out but, once you do it's like getting a free 2" lift... if you look at the truck from the front. haha
