I just got off the phone with them and he said they cast their own housings and use a garrett wheel. Told me if I broke it they would send me a new one for a year no questions. He also said they sponsor a sled puller team out of Vegas area called Wild Diesel. Im going to do some more research. They also said they would supply me with a list of people that use their stuff so I could call them and see how satisfied they are.

Sounds like this may turn into something. I'm looking for a single turbo myself and this may be a possibility. They definately have a good price going. Gotta get the tranny fixed first though.

The thing that makes me suspicious is polishing the compressor housing. Why is there a mounting pad for an ID tag and no tag? I believe it is a used compressor housing from a 03-04 CTD, since it doesnt have the electronically controlled wastegate. I have seen no mention of the module you install to fool the wastegate leads. I will spend the extra 3-400 bones and get a true HTT and no doubts about quality.

I know he has a good warranty, but where will you be when that refurbished turbo chunks? Will he repair your engine when it runs off on oil from the seals going out?

Will HTT ? When you buy hi po parts from suppliers usually your on your own. At least that is the way it is with race motors.

I noticed when I pulled his power wagon up and read the sheet on it they did not mention turbo type. I may have been wrong about him saying he was from LAS, he mentioned he sells a lot of stuff in that area and I took for granted that is where wild diesel was.

Well it was tempting $ wise but I have learned save some now ... pay more later the hard way. Just ordered a HTT instead. Probably $500 extra well spent but time will tell. Who is gonna try one? Feel lucky

From their website they say they're in Salt Lake City, so they probably worked for HTT or Industrial Injection (both SLC company's) because they talk about the Phat Shaft etc, as if everybody knows what they're talking about, and you'd only do that if you were very familiar with those turbos. At least that's my psycho-analysis of it

Since they're local to me I'd be willing to try them If I ever needed a turbo, but that day hasn't come yet.

Its probably a knock-off of a phat-shaft, it must be cheap for a reason...

HTB2 is what High Tech Turbo calls a model of their line.

Phat Shaft is what Industrial Injection calls their turbos.
