Anybody have ATS race series Valve Body??
Is the ATS race series valve body a full manual valve body? I have a daily driven truck. I dont pull a whole lot with it and only race occasionally. Does anybody have any first hand experience with one of these?

Yes...I have one. I am not sure what you mean by full manual? It has lighting quick firm shifts. As long as the converter is not locked...it is pretty smooth, but if I have my converter locked up at a low speed (via the Commander) it slam ya! You can manually shift through if you want...it gained nothing for me "quickness wise".

Thats what I needed to know. So it is night and day from the stock valve body? What I meant by full manual is that on alot of the gm/ford trannys ( TH350,TH400,700R4,C4,C6 etc, you can set it up to shift it manually at all times for race apps. I believe Im about to get a valve body and converter, just researching which one to go with. Mine feels like Im driving thru mashed potatoes.

ATS valve body coupled with their converter is night and day different than the OEM set up.
With the use of the selector...you can row the gears all you like.
