Any pics of 305/70R17 Nitto's on stock rims and 2-3" Lift

Anyone have any pics...or similiar?

Thinking about a lorenz 2.25 system...obviously will need bigger tires....worried about going to 35" tires with 3.73 and dtt trans (want to minimize the perf hit)....so thinking a 305 will get me closer 34" x 11.5 wide (vs 35" x 12.5") but minimize the perf hit....

Will 305's rub on stock rims with 3" lift?

Thoughts?

Some guys are running 37's on stock rims with minor fender trimmimg, the 305's should fit fine. Post a review of the Lorenz system if you get it.

I have an 07 mega cab 5.9l 4x4. I will be doing a 2" with 315 or 325/65/18 or 20 in the next couple of months. They shouldnt rub at all.

When you say perf hit you are saying a performance hit or actual power loss? This is my first deisel and I would not expect to notice a 305 except under heavy loads. I plan on the 35"s and a light programmer just to have fun playign with others.

Anybody know any good places to view some trucks with leveling kits and bigger tires?

Performance hit....trucks got plenty of get up and go....but the biggerr the tire, the more i loose....dont really want bigger tires, but want better suspension, and that necessitates a lift....dont want to spend the $'s going to 4.10 gearing which would keep the gearing very similiar to the way it is now.

You will feel a little power loss down low (taking off the line), but once your going I don't feel any loss (35" tire). Especially passing someone. My mileage stayed basically the same on highway from 285's (I only had my stocker tires on for about a month. So can't tell you the difference there). City driving you may lose 1-2 mpg. I don't do really any stop and go. So that does not affect me.

With the suspension system you want. 35" look real good on it. You may regret after going w/ the 305's.

On the rubbing issue. W/ 305's on stock wheels you should be ok w/ the upper control arms w/o rubbing. W/ 35" tires (especially Toyo's, because they are wider than most) you will rub your upper control arms w/ turning the wheel almost all the way or any articulation. All that comes down to is how tolerant can you be when rubbing. You will clear the wheel well w/o rubbing also. So no concern there. If you decide to upgrade the wheels (which you will in time ). Get a wheel that is atleast 5" of backspacing w/ 6" backspacing optimal w/ our Dodges. You'll clear your control arms and they tuck underneath great (similiar as stock) w/ 6" backspacing.
